Aurorafest
Every year, the Village of Aurora sets aside a weekend in July to celebrate life in Aurora and " bring some BIG fun to our TINY village." This year, the theme is "Cirque D'Aurora" and the "circus" kicks off on Friday night with a Blessing of the Boats BBQ, a live band along the shores of Cayuga Lake, and a Battle of the Bands at Wells College. Activities on Saturday include a Fun Run ( 1 mile / 2 miles), a "Dock-to-Dock" swim, a "Blessing of the Boats," the ever-delicious "Taste of Aurora," a Parade through the Village, REAL LIVE Jousting, Kid's Games (including a Pie Eating Contest), and an evening of live music, food, and drink. The day will close with one of the best Fireworks shows around.

Panloco Steel Drum Band
This highly versatile steel drum band was formed in 1995 in Western New York. The six- member, classically educated group, explores the unique musical qualities of the steel pan from its traditional Caribbean roots to pop, jazz, classical and world music. Bring a chair or a blanket and sit lakeside to enjoy this lively, distinctive music while surrounded by the great outdoors (location TBA - In the event of inclement weather, the event will take place in the Morgan Opera House).
